This is porter is very black and a little fizzy on the pour, with a dirty yellow head. In fact it looks just like a glass of Coke sitting there.

The nose is light with some roasted maltiness.

On the palate, there's a slight sweetness to it up front, with hints of coffee and chewy malt.

The aftertaste is bitter, bitter, bitter. Almost like orange or grapefruit peel but without the fruitiness.

This is a medium bodied porter, not as thick or heavy as I was expecting, the carbonation probably lightens it. I was kind of surprised at how fizzy it was actually.

An interesting tasting porter, but, for me, way too bitter on the aftertaste.

I would guess, if you don't mind the bitterness, this would be a good introduction to the world of Stouts and Porters.
