Yubari Coal Mine Black Beer 夕張石炭ビール

Yubari Coal Mine Black Beer 夕張石炭ビール

Brewery : Susukino Brewery
Location : Japan > Sapporo
Beer Type : Stout
Alcohol : 5% Abv
Score: 85 by MoIppai (05/06/2010)

I'm guessing what they mean by black beer is a stout (can someone leave a comment and correct me if I'm wrong!).
But this beer pours very lightly and pretty fizzily, it doesn't have the usual thickness of a stout.

It has dark, roasted barley on the palate and is fairly thick in texture but with a slight fizzy feel.
It's also quite syrupy and filling.

Not bad overall and makes a change from the usual Japanese lagers.

It's quite a flavourful beer.
