Suntory Jokky Nama (ジョッキ生)

Suntory Jokky Nama (ジョッキ生)

Brewery : Suntory
Location : Japan > Osaka
Beer Type : Third Type
Alcohol : 8% Abv
Calories : 53KCal/100ml
Score: 80 by MoIppai (22/11/2009)

This is a Happosei or Third Category beer from Japan, so it's not made from barley, malt and hops. (and so has less tax due and therefore cheaper).

It's a light golden colour and very fizzy when poured.
Actually it's suprisingly light considering it's an 8% beer.

It has that slight off, metallic taste that 3rd category beers often have, but it's pretty drinkable.

Definitely not a lager buy I've had a lot worse.
I'll give this a score of 80 to keep with the whole 8 theme, and for a happosei, it's not too bad.
