This recently appeared on the Convenience store shelves and is a "Special Limited" run of Sapporo Five Star which, if my reading of the Japanese label is correct, was originally a recipe from 1967 in the German style.Location : Japan > Hokkaido

I think they just re-releasing an old style lager, as Kirin did with their Taisho and Meiji era beers recently.
It's a very light, golden colour with a big light white fizzy head.
This is actually a very fizzy lager and looks almost like an English cider (especially in the Bulmers Original pint glass I brought over from England. Bulmers are a big Cider company in the UK).
It has no smell to speak off and is light, smooth and crisp in the mouth.
The Sapporo Five Star is a very drinkable lager but very gassy.
Later Addition:
Actually, I take that back, it's so gassy it became very hard to drink for me, so I dropped 5 points off it and probably won't try it again.
