Brewed in Hokkaido, "Sapporo Classic is an eminently drinkable flavour extravagance" - or so the can tells me.Location : Japan > Hokkaido

It has a light golden colour and a light, smooth taste.
Actually it had a hint of saltiness to it which was a bit strange and I'm sure I must have imagined it as lager is rarely if ever salty, I think.
A short finish, it disappears quickly and just leaves a "salty" feeling afterwards (and I wasn't eating peanuts or anything at the time!).
I usually like Sapporo beers but I don't think I'll try this one again.

| How the memory fades. I said I wouldn't try this again, but bought a six pack of it the other day, thinking I hadn't drunk it before. Stil actually get the hint of saltiness, although more subtle this time, but definitely there on the aftertaste. I think 73 for a score was a bit harsh, so I'll up it to 80 this time. It's certainly drinkable, just nothing special that's all. |
