Please Help Japan

Orion Rich

Another Orion third-category drink brought to mainland Japan by Asahi.
This one is "High Quality Using Lots of Barley", apparently and "We've created a beverage with a delicate flavour, richness and refreshing smoothness". All sounds very promising.

This daisan is even lighter in colour than the Orion Southern Star I tried just before this one. Pale straw coloured with a white fizzy head.

Hardly anything on the nose.

Does, surpisingly have more body than the other Orion despite being so light in colour. It's quite full, soft and pillowy in the mouth, Fair bit of volume, almost spongey bizarrely.

Taste wise, a fairly typical daisan, again nothing like a beer, although there are hints of barley (wel they did use Lots of Barley in this one!).

Pretty lightweight in flavour but fairly heavy in volume feel (if that makes sense, not sure if volume and weight are necessarily connected, anyway I digress).

Pretty drinkable. Would probably buy this again if I had to buy a daisan as it's also very cheap at only ￥128.

As a third-category beer I'll score it an 85.
