Kinu no Zeitaku 絹の贅沢

Kinu no Zeitaku 絹の贅沢

Brewery : Suntory
Location : Japan > Osaka
Beer Type : Daisan (Happosei,Third Category)
Alcohol : 6% Abv
Calories : 53KCal/100ml
Score: 78 by MoIppai (29/05/2010)

This daisan from Suntory, "Kinu no zeitaku" means "Luxury Silk" - or something like that and there's also some connection with Kyoto, couldn't translate it properly but I believe the barley is from Kyoto Nishiyama mountain (Kyoto's North Mountain?).

It also has 100% Aroma Hops (whatever that means).

The actual drink has a pale golden colour and is very fizzy. There's also a strong daisan smell and a slight sweetness to it.

It's light in the mouth, quite a watery feel with a light subtle taste. Not too metallic fo a daisan.

There is a subtle barley taste in there too.

This is a drinkable Third-category liqueur but the subtle watery taste left me wondering, why bother drinking it?
Apart from the easyness of drinking and the 6%abv perhaps.
