The Chimay Blue from the Peres Trappistes at the Scourmont Abbey in Belgium is obviously the blue labelled bottle. The other two being the Red and the Triple (yellow label).Location : Belgium > Chimay

This has more than 50% barley malt apparently.
I had this last year and scored it very badly, but I tried it again recently and either my taste has changed/improved or I had a bad bottle before.
This seemed to be much better than last year.
The beer is very fizzy with an overflowing off-white yellowish thick head and a slightly malty smell.
It's dark, murky brown in colour and fairly translucent around the edges but opaque in the middle.
Dark, malty and quite light in the mouth, but dark. Fairly bitter and a little dry. The main, overwhelming taste is malt.
Not a very long finish to this beer.
Not bad overall, like I said, I didn't like it last year (scored it 50) but this time it was fairly tasty.
