Obviously I drank this back in the UK (not too much mind), but the other day was the first time I'd seen it in Japan. And even more surprising it was in a vending machine just around the corner from my flat.Location : Australia

And EVEN more surprising it was only ￥150! ($1.50). Bearing in mind that a can of coke is ￥120 and a Japanese beer is about ￥230 in a vending machine, this is pretty cheap.
Castlemaine XXXX is a light golden colour with a big frothy white head.
It has a light taste but a strong impact. Much better than expected (is that a reflection of Japanese beers that I've become adjusted too or was it always pretty good??).
It has a surprisingly fresh taste.
Can see me going back to that vending machine soon.
