Introduced in 1876 so it's been around for quite a while, and has earned the (marketing) name "King of Beers".
On the pour this is an incredibly pale lager, almost without any golden yellow at all.
There's also hardly anything on the nose.
It's light and crispy but pretty weak tasting.
It's probably a good session beer as it's an ok, light tasting lager that goes down fairly well on a hot day.
It's drinkable, definitely not unpleasant but at the end of the day, pretty forgettable.
It's say it's more like the "Cousin of the Archduke of Beers" than the King though.
