It's now the beginning of December, so not really the time to be discussing a beer designed to be drunk in a glass filled with ice, but I had this way back in July, nearing the peak of Japanese summer (35deg C, about 75% humidity) and it was a much needed delight.Location : Japan > Akita

I followed the instructions and filled my glass with ice and poured the beer in (reminded me of the line from the great movie Withnail & I, "Two large gins, two pints of cider. Ice in the cider.").
It's a dark, fizzy beer with a yellow head. Looks just like a pint of coke and ice.
Not much on the nose but very malty on the palate.
Looks so much like a coke, as you drink it and feel the ice on you lips you expect a sweet cola taste to be there but you get an icy, malty flavour instead. Comes as a bit of a surprise.
Personally, I'm not used to having such a malty beer, "on the rocks" but it's not a bad idea. Especially, as I say, in the Japanese summer heat.
Actually I would probably be less impressed with this beer at "normal" temperature, but I really like this "Beer on the Rocks".
Looking forward to trying it again next summer (think I'll give it a miss in December though).
