"Seasonal Brew 2009"
"Made of Roasted Malt - 1.4 times the usual barley"

As it says on the can.
This one of the Japanese seasonal beers, this time it's Autumn.
"Aki Nama" means "Fresh Autumn" (Aki = Autumn, Nama = Fresh), however in terms of beer, Nama tends to mean Draft in Japan. In a restaurant for example you might order a "Nama Beeru" (Draft beer) as opposed to a "Bin Beeru" (bottled beer).
So here it could mean, Fresh Autumn or Draft Beer Autumn I guess.

I actually discovered this beer in the clearance bargain bin at my local off license (for ¥120, $1.20ish), as it's obviously out of season I guess and the Winter beers have started to arrive.

This is a shame as it's pretty good.

It's light and a little flat, not so fizzy for a lager, but too fizzy for an ale or bitter.

Very drinkable, it has a nice malty taste and not too hoppy.

Quite a short finish as we say in wine reviews, doesn't hang around much and is very light in the mouth.

Easy to drink, and not gassy at all.

Actually I was surprised it was 6.5% alcohol as it doesn't feel like it at all.
Could be a good session beer.
